We created this together, me and Mariam. Mariam had been in Australia for 2 years, from Syria. We compared our lives, our journeys to Australia, my great great great grandfathers convict story and her story oof fleeing a war torn country. My story of being swooped by a magpie on my bike and her story of hitting puberty and not being allowed to ride a bike, or show her hair or wear perfume. At the time my brother was on exchange in Germany and hers were there too to escape conscription. 

We put it all together as a 30 minute play. My proudest bit of theatre.
